Hello everyone! My name is Stefan Albrecht Kuhr and I am a professional software developer, working currently for the enteo product division of FrontRange Solutions Germany. I joined this company in May of 2002 when its name was NetSupport GmbH. Since then I have gone through all the transformations and relocations of the company, be it the the move to Filderstadt/Germany in 2003, the name change to enteo GmbH in 2005 or finally the acquisition by Frontrange in 2007.

Before I joined Frontrange/enteo/NetSupport, I was a student in the international master course "Software Technology" at the University of Applied Sciences in Stuttgart, Germany. After having successfully completed this course of studies with a master thesis that I wrote at Sony-Wega Corporation in Stuttgart, Germany, I was graduated as a "Master of Science" in Software Technology.

During my master's studies I earned some money as a half time software developer for Homag AG and this way I could experience the joys of telecommuting. Before the master's course I was already working 6 years as a full-time software developer for this company after having successfully completed the two courses of studies "Microelectronics/Technical Computer Science" (1988-1993) and "Optical technology and image processing" (1993-1994).

Most of my spare time I am sitting in front of one or the other computer. If not, I am probably swimming: I am doing roughly 5 km each week. My ultimate personal records are 1000m in 14:47 min. and 4000m in 64 minutes. On some gray day in April 2000 I tried to swim for 6 hours to find out how far I can get within that time and it was exactly 16600m. On 1st of May 1999 I wanted to know how long it takes me to swim 10.000 m. It was exactly 3 h and 3 minutes.

Another hobby of mine is music. I am playing saxophones (sopranino, soprano, alto, tenor, baritone), clarinet and flute and I have a huge collection of records and  CDs. Most of it is jazz and classical music. I also currently play in 3 Bigbands in the Stuttgart area (MVS Bigband Sindelfingen, High'n Mighty Bigband Korntal and Bow-Tie Bigband Renningen).
